Democracy challenged Era

Today it’s a warmer out 37 degrees and MB is back from London. That means team Red Pacers are back together. Of course MB comes back and Coach Dan is out of town. Russell Hustle is taking the the lead this morning. On tap is 6- 800s at 10k pace with 90sec break in between.

The vibe is very different when coach Dan isn’t here. It’s a good vibe as always but different. We didn’t have our pre run meeting or check in system going. No harm, no loss. I think about 110 showed up. Today the issue was more about Track management then the 6, 800s we had to do. Coach called them power 800s. That translates to 4 times around the track in 4:45min, 90 sec break, then do it again.

Still dealing with my knee issue. I popped 2 Tylenol, 3 Advil. Put heat on my knee and then iced it. This should not always be the case. I can’t do this every time I run. It will be bad on my liver and Kidneys. I feel as if I can not get sick. Since the man had put funding for research on hold. I need to stay healthy.

Back to the 800s. I was proud of myself for keeping right on pace. A couple of times I went over but not by much. I kept it steady.

The struggle might have been real this morning .But once I got to the Reggie, the energy shifted. I knew people were getting up and coming to run indoors from the cold.
