Last Track Tuesday of July
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Last Track Tuesday of July! I can’t believe it. Today, coach Dan gifted me the Nike attire I will be wearing because I am now a Track Tuesday Pacer for team Red. He told me I could start today or next Tuesday. I was not prepared for the day. I’m excited to start. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do next Tuesday. My Iowan’s mother passed away. I have to fly out to go to Iowa tomorrow. I’ll return back next Tuesday. I need to make sure to tell coach Dan this.
Today’s workout was getting us ready for the mob mile. There were 800s, 600s, 400s, and 200s involved to today at mile and 5k pace. No 10k pace. That meant for me, getting out of my pace comfort zone. I was able to do it. My knee felt a bit wobbly. It’s been a while since I went to acupuncture. When I get back, I have to make an appointment.
We had a small, Team red group today, but we were might and rad! Jordan and MB, the pacers, were giving me tips and talking to me about things to be mindful of. Like pacing and how to keep track of everything. I’m a bit uncomfortable because it’s new. But this is something that I am excited to do.
I can’t wait.
