Last run of Sept and Lost Keys
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
This is my last run for September. I know today is the 29th but the 30th( the last day of the month), I’m leaving early with the Iowan to go off to the Big E and I have an interview with WBZ radio. No running on the last day. But I can run today.- Thursday
Actually, it’s a lovely fall morning. I decided to run along the Mystic River Reservations but this time run towards Charlestown and visit Bunker Hill Monument.
I was properly layered up for the morning run. From Assembly Row to Bunker Hill it’s about 2.35 miles. I was taking in the sights as the sun was slowly starting to make her way up in the sky.
When I got to Bunker Hill, I did a foot selfie with the monument. All was good. This morning I have a doctor’s appointment and a union meeting at Worcester State University.
I get to my car and reach for my keys and there were no keys. The thing that I feared the most happened. I lost my keys. I had already ran 5 miles. I needed to retraced my footsteeps.
But I had to be quick about it because I had all those meetings. Thankfully, I called and woke up the Iowan and asked him to bring the spare keys. While I waited I retraced my steps. I have a feeling they were at Bunker Hill.
I walked about a mile and said screw it and walked a mile back to my car. Time was not on my side. I had a doctor’s appointment that I scheduled 6 months ago and shower, change, and go to the doctor’s. From there I had to leave and take the Pike to WSU.
Overall , ran 5 miles, walked a mile, and lost keys( it was the key fab- not all of the keys) . That was the way I started off the morning.
Never dull, never dull
