Letting out the inner trackstar
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Track Tuesday. If I could run I would let out my inner Flo Jo if I had an inner Flo Jo. :). I feel all trackish today because Team USA Olympic Track and Field team was completed yesterday for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. And Sha’Carri Richardson made the team. The 21 year old reminded me and the rest of the world of FloJo back in the day. Stylish, fast, and amazing. With today being track Tuesday, I had thoughts of running an 100 meter dash in lightening speed. Again, the thoughts.
I picked up my walking pace this morning. The track at 5:30 a.m. was pretty active. Not only were people running and walking but they were also working out on the field and running the steps. This is a great time to workout while it’s 73 degrees before the temperature goes up 15 more degrees today.
I did my 4 mile walk and then I walked up the stadium steps as I sparkled with sweat. I wanted to give my legs and inner thighs a different type of exercise movement. Walking up the steps I feel the annoying pain that I think is around my groin area compared to when I walked on the track. Who knows?
Today I had the longest walk post surgery and it’s week 4. Hopefully two more weeks until I can start running.
