New Stalker for Track Tuesday
COVID-19, ‘The Rona Era”
We had rain last night and early this morning for a cool 66 degree a.m. run. Yesterday I went to a Pelvic PT specialist, for my “ groin annoyance.” I learned that I need to do pelvic floor exercises because I have some tight muscles in my pelvic region which also connects to muscles in my thighs( hence, the annoyance while running.). I found out that stress not only happens in your back and neck, it can happen in the pelvic region as well. That makes sense considering on the trauma my body has gone through since November of 2020.
Now, I know what it is called and exercises to do to help loosen those muscles and the the annoyance. Getting examined and doing exercises last night and this morning, I was a bit sore. I thought a variety of walking, running, and stadium steps would be good for my body for Trackworkout Tuesday.
I did some regular body stretching before going out to run. On my way to the track I passed another wall exhibit from Boston Sea Wall- so amazing. I paused for a photo before continuing to run to the track.
When I was there, the track was empty. I had the place to myself. That lasted for five minutes. I arrived at the track at 6a.m. I guess that is the sweet “ track time.”
Today I walked around the track for a lap before running. I switched between walking a lap and a running lap. The mix-up variety was good. I made my way to the stadium steps for three rounds of going up and down before I started to run home.
On my way home, I was stopped by a slug. This thing was think and big. I just added him to the list of stalkers that I have.
This morning it was not about time but movement. I was able to put 4.11 miles under my belt on this cool muggy, sweaty, Tuesday morning.
Mile 1: 11:57
Mile 2: 11:57
Mile 3: 14:58
Mile 4: 17:39
Mile 4.11: 11:09.
