Second day of heatwave
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Today is day #2 of a four day heatwave, lucky us. Yesterday, I kept myself inside because of the heatwave and I rested. Today, I wanted to get up early and run while it was still cool. At 5:30a.m. it was 76 degrees out. That’s the cool of the day. It only made sense to run along the water. This morning adventures took me to Castle Island and Carson Beach. This place was busy. Everyone was out running and walking this morning. You would have no idea that it was 6a.m. by the volume of people and activity. Usually in the mornings, it is somewhat quiet. It’s bright out and the “ cool” of the day is happening now.
The red sun was starting to rise over the water and I was trying to run to it, once I parked by Castle Island. I realized that I should have stretched more before running. Because now I have to work on my pelvic floor exercises, to relieve my pelvic tightness and I was tight. :). My run still happened
Running with my new brook shoes helped with my steady pace and getting in the running groove. I did have to remind myself to go slow, as I was chasing the sun.
I saw a lot of folks running in pairs. What always cracks me up are the walkers with flip flops and their dunks.
I made it to Carson Beach when I was distracted by the stalkers. There were so many of them on the beach. They all were looking towards the sea. I’m not sure if they were trying to tell us something. And them staring towards the sea was a sign of what’s to come. Still not sure “ what’s to come, but they were staring.” They didn’t even chase me when I got too close to them. -weird.
That was my turn around point to go run back. My goal was a six mile run. 4.33 miles happened at 76 degrees.
