First Full day of Summer 2021
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Summer is busting in through the doors this morning and he will be busting in the rest of the week. Yesterday the heat sucked the life out of me and I did nothing. This morning I was up but wasn’t in the mood to get up. That would take a lot of energy. I had to shake it off and get my ass up. The birds chirping away at 4:30a.m. clearly were telling me to get up. I knew the later I waited to go for a walk the muggier and hotter it was going to be.
I got up and out of the door by 5:22a.m. Already it was 75 degrees out. I made sure to walk close to the water for the cool breeze and air.
It was weird walking with my self diagnosed groin pain. I didn’t feel it for a while, then I felt it( annoyance) on the left side of my leg. It wasn’t as bad as it has been. I did put ice on it and try to elevate on Sunday.
I’m hoping in two weeks, when I’m able to run, this weird fluke of a situation will go away.
Meanwhile…..I had a 16 min/mil walking pace. Which is good. My goal for the rest of the week is to make it 15 min/mile. I’m almost there. While walking this morning, many of the construction workers were up and ready to work at their sights, the stalkers were all chillin in the water, and I just kept putting in the miles.
4.01 miles in 1:09:13. Happy Monday.
