COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

Since the 4th of July was on a Sunday this year, the “ holiday day” was on Monday. Everything was mostly closed and most quite. This year in Boston, the 4th weekend was rainy and cold, unlike the 4th of July weekend last year. Today, Tuesday is the “ back to work day.” It’s still cool and wet out but it’s a good day to run/walk. This week also marks the 6th week of post surgery recovery. After this week, the doctors gave me the ok, to run. To slowly ease back into running. Also, this Thursday, I have a doctor’s appointment for my annual visit. I’ll ask my doctor about this “ groin” annoyance. Hopefully it’s nothing major and can be fixed quickly.

This morning, since I was in Woburn, I walked around Horn Pond. Actually I walked around it twice for a four miler. The stalkers were all out. The geese, the swans, and even the rabbits. At 6 :30a.m. the Pond was busy with all the walkers and dog walkers. The majority of people I saw were a lot older than me walking. I’m sure the time of day and the population of the area could explain the seasoned age folks that were out.

On average, I walked a 17:44 min/ml and finished in 1:11:06. Next Tuesday my plan is to run/walk
