Sunday is Pi Day

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

Today I was going to let my body wake up naturally, no alarm, phone, or buzzing devices. I woke up and it was 5 a.m., too early. When I woke up again, it was 7a.m. I felt rested and 7 is a good time to get ready for a morning walk. When I walked into the kitchen and the oven clock and my phone read 8:05 a.m., I realized that it was daylight savings. We changed the clocks an hour forward. Crap, I don’t run at 8 a.m. and that’s late. I mean walk now at 8 am. Perhaps other people forgot like me and would not be out.

41 degrees, breezy, and I did need gloves for a walk around Memorial Beach on the Mystic River Reservation. This was a spot I had never been too. Walking around the lake I did see walkers but I saw a lot of runners and bikers. I know I’m still healing and I need to be patient. I had a nice quiet walk until I ran into the stalkers. They were( the geese) legit stalking me this morning.

I will admit, I felt the urge to walk through the trees and dirt instead of the “ safe path “ that was between the road and the trees, birds, and lake.

The longer I walked the warmed it got. My coat felt heavier than when I started. Still a good 4.06 mile walk which went beyond the the 3.14 of pi :)
