COVID-19, ‘The Rona Era”
Fall is here. The leaves have changed color and are falling on the ground. This should have been a long run day. Yesterday was a outing with my crew. We all social distance at LaBelle Winery in New Hampshire. Our spirit and mental health needed this. We have a couple of flights, a shot, amazing food, and fabulous laughs and conversations. As it got cooler, we had a fire pit next to us. Great Saturday. To be honest, this was a wine weekend with friends. On Friday, I met another friend at Nashoba Winery. We also had amazing fall views and the weather was in the 60s.
Today, Sunday, I felt great but tired. I know I needed to run but I also wanted to sleep in a bit. I gave myself permission to rest. Around 8:30 a.m. I left and ran around Horn Pond in Woburn. This truly felt like a fall run. The air was crisp, the leaves had changed and were on the ground and in the pond. The stalkers were out enjoying the morning as well.
My main goal was to get my body moving. Even if I did a mile, I would be happy. I ran 2.04 miles around the pound. YAY. I own up to the fact that I feel a bit wine heavy this morning. :). Today is a new day, with a new plan to get back on track. I have no regrets for the weekend or the extra wine weight.
