Feeling the sweaty love!
This was the first treadmill workout post MRI. I have Hoffa fat pad impingement. It’s genetic and there is nothing that can be done, no surgery or pills. What helps is strong quads which will help with the stability of the knee. That’s all I can do. Quad exercises, anti- inflammatory foods/diet and K-tape. 10 weeks until #47 and the continued strength building of my knee.
With all of that said, today’s treadmill workout was great. I was able to push my speed level and feel my cardio body self. From the 5k Super Sunday race on Feb. 2nd baseline, I can tell that I have improved and am getting stronger. Today was a good test of where I am. I will admit at first I was nervous but I relaxed and let myself go. I had to trust myself to pull back and stop if I felt pain. I felt “ tightness” but not pain.
Keep moving and keep pushing
