Treadmill workout- baseline
This week is a good “ getting back to running week.” Sunday was the 5k race, Tuesday was Trackwork, and today( Thursday) is treadmill workout. This was the first time of doing treadmill work in a month. The theme of this week has been finding my baseline. Today I didn’t go as fast or hard as I could. I kept speed level to around 2- which means between 3.5 and 5 on speed. As I felt myself out and tried to let it go and not be afraid, I went up to 6.
I was feeling for sharp pain, uncomfortable or achy feelings in my leg. I was aware that the right side of my back left knee is were I feel the pain when I apply weight or pressure. It was manageable and I could still run.
I would run hard and take a walk break. Run hard and take a walk break. The end of the workout I finished 3.11 miles. This felt a lot different, better than when I ran a 5k on Sunday.
Coach Steven, was too funny because he couldn’t understand why I was at 3.5 and 5. Damn.., why is he looking at my stuff. I told him I had knee pain. That seemed to be alright with him. He saw my running on Tuesday at the track, and clearly knows my potential. Now that I’ve established the treadmill baseline. We can up the game next Thursday.
