Treadmill Thursday
The CORVID-19 has me all crazed. Yesterday I was dealing with emails, giving information, getting information, being gatekeeper of information, it was an information explosion. Between students, faculty, state wide union leadership, our administration, my head was hurting. I made the executive decision to get $1 oysters and drink. This was Wednesday.
This morning I wasn’t sure what to do. Do I run outside or do the treadmill. If I do the treadmill I have to pay because my punchpasses had expired. I was up at 5 a.m. Class starts at 5:45a.m if I was going to do it.
I needed some running guidance to feel how the K- tape will work on my knee while running. With that thought, I paid online and went to the heartbreaker studio.
The talk at the studio was about CORVID-19. May people planned to run the New York Half Marathon this weekend but that was cancelled. Some people are track coaches at the various universities in the city, they talked about their international students and what means for the track season. There is an impact on the running community.
Alas, we were all here. The workout started with speed drills, hill drills, speed drills, and then hill drills. My ass was tired. I could swear the workout got harder and harder. I persisted.
4.30 miles came out of me. A lot of sweat came out of me. My knee with the K-tape worked well. I was cautious for this first time to feel everything out.
Bonus surprise as I was leaving, I saw one of my #girlgang sole sistas walking into the studio to do her first treadmill class. :)
