Spring is coming. Spring is coming
The week of COVID-19. A sista girl is tired. Dealing with information, misinformation, disinformation, students, administrators, state wide union information, local information. The amount of reading, thinking, reacting, communicating, talking,…oh my. Today is the first day of spring break and it feels like spring in winter. Clear blue sky, 48 degrees out, sunny. This is such a Saturday a.m. run day.
This wasn’t the 6 or 7 mile day run I wanted. 6 hours supporting my local bar and socializing until at 12:30 a.m. are good reasons why the high mileage didn’t happen. I got up at 6:30 a.m. and I ran 4.50 miles. Whoot-Whoot. Since this has been a crazy week, I haven’t been doing my regular stretching and icing and I felt it a bit this morning. Note to self.
It was quiet out around 7 a.m. I’m glad I saw people running and walking their dogs. I passed a skate park and saw two skateboarders doing their thing. The vendors were putting our their fruits and vegetables at the farmers market. There was life and light activity to start the day.
For two weeks we have spring break. I’ll be able to get more frequent runs in.
