Trackwork out returns
A month ago today 4.14.2019 I ran the Paris Marathon. I can’t believe it has been a month. I guess I’m a bit crazy because in that time I ran a half marathon in South Dakota and Kansas. 30 days. wow.
After my experience with Bryan the 2:05 pacer from running with the cows, I realize I need training and to run with other people to help with my stamina and strength. Of course today was the day it was cold, rainy, and foggy but nevertheless I went to the track. It was good to see some familiar faces. The last time I saw them was the week before I left for Paris.
As usual, I didn’t have a clue as to what we were doing. I just run. There was something said about 800s, 400s, 200s. I was back with team blue. Then I found out that there were fellow southerners and a Hokie in the mix( after I talked with people).
My downfall was not eating or having anything on my stomach. I have to be mindful to fuel-up so I can keep pace. I have eight more states to go and I want to finish strong. I’ve been slacking a bit( my standards). This #vintage1974 has to keep things moving.
Near the end of the training, that’s wrhen it started to rain, really rain. I had to leave because I wasn’t trying to stay wet or get sick. It was a good Tuesday. I want to make sure to take this running energy and spread it to the different running groups that I’m apart of.
