Last Track Tuesday Workout of June
COVID- 19 “ The Rona Era”
This weather has been unpredictable. We’ve had on and off showers and thunderstorms for the last four days. When you think it’s going to rain , it doesn’t. When you think it shouldn’t rain, then it does. Why would this morning be any different. When I got up this morning to go to MIT’s track, it was very gray out. I wasn’t sure if track tuesday would be cancelled or not. On my way there, it rained. It was slow and steady drizzle. It kept raining when I walked on the track.
I loved talking and recapping with the pacers. Many of us, pacers and racers recapped about the hot ass BAA 10k that many of us ran on Sunday. The heat, the course was so disrespectful. Surprisingly, slowly but surely, many people showed up. Trackworkout was sold out. I think that might have been the first time.
The drizzled stopped and the heat and humidity came. Today was a “ fun” run. We did 5 sets of 200s. Each set had a 10k, 5k, and then 1 mile pace.
Today my girl Liz showed up and Jeff from BMR-Boston. Since fourth of July weekend is this week, many folks were gone, yet today was sold out.
It was a fun run today and I felt good. I made sure to hydrate and keep moving. We ended track Tuesday on a strong note.
