COVID-19, “The Rona Era “
After the BMR/BGR run on Saturday, something happened to my left leg. This is the leg of the Hoffa Fat Pad. I was just sitting, after the 6 mile run and I felt a tight muscle pain. Trying to walk and bend my knee was painful. WTF. I don’t know what happened. I was literally hopping to my car. I iced, elevated, pooped some aleve and hopped the pain would go away. two weeks before I go to Hawaii, my 50th state and this happens? I trained for and ran a marathon and I wasn’t in this much pain.
By Tuesday it was better. I went to acupuncture, which helped relieved some of the pain. Today, I gently went back to strength training class. I did feel a bit of tightness but I was good. Maybe 90%. Tomorrow I’ll try running a bit and see how that goes. I know with muscles, they need time. I’m going to be mindful to stretch a lot and give my body time.
