7 miler Humpday Beach Run
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Once again, hot girl summer is knocking on winter’s door. It’s going to be in the 60s today and tomorrow. I thought a beach run would be good since it’s been a while. I tried to get up at 5a.m. to go running. Two things stopped that. One I’m on my period, so I don’t sleep well and two, the Iowan is leaving for Iowa tomorrow so I’ll be up at 4:30a.m. This was my sleep in morning. For me, waking up at 5:35 was sleeping in.
No layers or headlight needed. I was blessed to see the vibrant colors of the sunrise along the beach. It was 39 degrees out when I started running.
The beach was quiet and I felt good running. I did get hot and my running tights were insulated and I felt hot and heavy. I kept going. 3.50 miles of out and back.
As sunrise started more folks were walking on the beach. Though, I didn’t run hills, I’m glad I got miles in.
