Last Humpday run of January
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era’
The struggle is real and my ass is tired this morning. Yesterday I was up by 3 a.m. and I didn’t get home until 9pm. It was a very long day. This morning, I did not get out of bed until 6:10a.m. I couldn’t decide if I should run, rest some more, make this a rest day and not run, or just stretch. I know, I exhausted myself out. I eventually got up. This is suppose to be a 10k a.m. humpday run. My goal was to get a 5k in.
I couldn’t think of where to go that was hilly with inclines so I went to Revere Beach. When I was there I decided to run towards Winthrop( I went right) instead of heading towards Lynn( left turn). It was just me running on the beach. I was rewarded with amazing colors and a beautiful sunrise. I had to be cautious. There were icy and slippery spots on the sidewalk and street. I was not trying to fall. I just took my time.
My left leg was acting wonky. After mile 3 then I got a groove. I’m thinking that is a theme. I need the right three miles to warm up. I may still be sore from trackworkout. I’m thinking and running smart. I wasn’t going to push myself since I have a 14 miler long run on Saturday.
I ran 5.19 miles at a 10:46mile pace. I’ll take it.
