Wet 10k Monday
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
It’s a wet Monday morning. It’s warm enough that it’s not snowing but still the weather is crappy. The miles still have to happen today. Normally, I don’t run when it rains. This is marathon training season. A light sprinkle is fine as long as it is not torrential downpours. I layered up and light up with the headlight and drove to Assembly row. The plan is to run a 10k. I need to increase my miles this week.
It was dark, wet , and very quiet out this morning. It took until I was 2.45 miles in when my body, my legs felt comfortable. I did do a lot of stretching before I left. I’m going to have to do more. My energy level was high. I didn’t see too many of my stalkers out. I tried to keep a good pace. Sunday was my rest day. I thought my legs were doing good since I ran 11 miles on Saturday.
10k, 10:54min/mile. 1hr and 5mins. It was a good run today.
