Heartbreaker Run Track Tuesday
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
After running a half marathon on Sunday to celebrate 10 years of my mom’s passing and resting on Monday. It was time for some Track Tuesday action. Last Tuesday was the day after the 4th. We had people show up, thou late but folks came. This Tuesday should be “ back to norm.” We had a lot more people this Tuesday than last Tuesday, shocker- not.
I didn’t even bother to ask what we would be doing. I just let them tell me and the pacers guide me. Keeping it all simple. For know, I’m sticking with team red. We have a good vibe and crew. Some folks in our group say we are the slow team. I have to correct them. We are running around a 9/10 pace. That is damn good. We aren’t the 4-5min fasty people.
We did a total of 1500s with 90 min breaks. This included a 200, 400, 600, etc. The time went by super fast. This time around I made sure to bring my water bottle to the field.
A couple of surprises today. One of our BGR members showed up to run, which was fabulous. And I ran into one of my besties, Liz on my way out of the track. She was running a new morning route on her run and we bumped into each other. It was funny because I just sent her a text about hanging out this week and then I saw her.
This was a good Tuesday Track Morning.
