Last Tuesday Track Workout 2022
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
This morning I submitted final grades before I left at 5:45a.m. to go to the Reggie for Tuesday’s Trackworkout. I can’t believe it’s Tuesday. I can’t believe it’s the 20th of December. I knew that running this morning, I would feel better about submitting final grades. I needed to sweat it all out.
This morning at the Reggie, I saw my Team Red gang, which is always fun. There weren’t as many people here today because of the holiday. It still was a good group.
We started off with our 8 minute warm up, then dynamic stretches, and a stride run before working on our 10k pace speed. I never know what we are doing. I trust the coaches and I just run.
We did 10 400s around the track with a minute break in between. I felt good and strong. To my surprise I kept at 9:45min pace. Things are always so different when you run with other people compared to running by myself.
Today was run and always such good positive energy. I was happy to find out that Rachel, one of the runners ran Big Sur Marathon. I told her I would reach out to her for tips and advice.
I loved that I wasn’t in a rush to go teach class , so I could stay longer. I know come January that will not be the case.
It was a great morning. A morning of yes I can.
