Last Monday of September
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
I’m not happy that it is the last Monday of this month. Where did the time go? What have I been doing? Ugh. All I know is that, I have less than 7 days to get ready for my 1st half marathon in 18 months. I really need to focus this week.
Today, the Iowan and I are in Springfield, Mass to check out the Big E. Massachusetts doesn’t have a state fair. The Big E is all the New States’ state fair. Even since I moved here, 16 years ago, I’ve always heard about “ The Big E.”
A break from writing and a mini get away, I thought it would be cool to check out the Big E on a Monday, since there will be less people around. Plus this is my fun outing before I leave on Wednesday morning.
This morning, I wanted to test my legs. I ran a 10k in Springfield. I ran past the Armory, Dr. Seuss garden, murals, artwork, and in an neighborhood that I saw children walking to go to school or catch the bus. I was getting my urban feel of Springfield. Running in the morning is always the transition from dark to light. Quiet to the busy.
I’m still tight in my upper tights and pelvic floor. I would give the annoyance a 1 out of 10 for pain. Getting better. My time shows my tightness. Plus last night I eat something bad because my stomach did not like me. I was working out that issue this morning too. Hot mess. Hot mess that got a 10k in. :)
