Post Henri Monday
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Yesterday tropical storm Henri came through. Originally he was suppose to be a category 1 hurricane. Luckily for us, he was down graded to a tropical storm. Storm or hurricane, the rain and wind still came. Depending on location, some parts of the state were hit worse than others. Since I was with the Iowan, 20 miles northwest of Boston, it was not that bad. Around 6pm we went for a 4.65 mile walk with our umbrellas, that we never used.
Today, is Never miss a Monday, Monday. I ran along the Mystic River this morning. It was foggy. Unfortunately, Henri didn’t take the stalkers because they were all out this morning. Lucky me. I took the time to stretch before running. Besides the fog, it was an interesting mix of cool and humidity. I saw more stalkers out than people running, walking, or rowing this morning.
I stopped a couple of times while running, which tells me I need to work on nutrition and gaining energy. My pace was good. But my energy levels were not as high as they should be.
The run this morning was good. I did feel strong when I ran. I just need to work on eating better.
The three miles I had planned turned into 5.04 miles for the morning. If I want to work up to a 10 miler, I need to increase weekday mileage.
Cheers to Monday running.
