Frizzy 10k a.m. beach Friday
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Another 55 degrees out this morning. The birds chirped away at 4:59a.m. It’s to to rise and shine. Thou, rising, took a bit of time. Today is also the first day of final exams as the semester is coming to a close. Since it’s so nice out and it’s Friday, I wanted to do a beach run.
The goal was 5 miles along Revere Beach. This morning it was bright and so peaceful. As I started running, one runner ran past me. Later along the beach, I saw the walkers, runners, and dog walkers. I think everyone was happy to be out and it felt like spring this morning.
I wanted to test my body as I ran. I had a good pace and a good stride. The soulful fun tunes in my earbud just added to my running zone. I ran all the way down Revere Beach by the bridge which goes over to Lynn. I could have kept running but I knew I had to be home to get ready for meetings and grading. I blissfully turned around. Running back to my car, I saw the construction workers and the children waiting for the school bus.
6.25 miles , 1:03:39; 10:11min/ml. Good way to start Friday.
