COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

Today is going to be brutal!! Non stop meetings from 8am-8pm. Meeting with students, state wide union meeting, and teaching class are until 5:30, then I’m having a cocktail zoom at 6:30 with two of my favorites that I have not seen in over two years. I’m hoping I’ll have energy to drink and chat when I zoom with them. Wait, that’s crazy, of course I will. Ha!

I know that a 5k walk is mandatory this morning before all the craziness starts. It was sunny but cold AF. I made the mistake of taking off my gloves because I think they froze. Walking along the water helped but didn’t help. The smell and sounds of the ocean always makes me happy but then the cold harsh wind from the ocean does not.

I saw very few people out this morning. The people I saw, had to be out because they were walking their dogs or going to walk. No one was trying to have a leisure walk in this weather. I wanted to walk through the Pier’s Park and Brenman Street Park and both were locked this morning. I wonder massport police are trying to stay inside this morning as well.
