Turkeys and 1 miler
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
I had a late night Wednesday meeting from 7:15-9pm. One of the many sucky things about COVID-19 over meetings. The people I work with are so busy with zoom meetings during the day, that the only time to meet is in the evening, if we want to plan and get things done. Last night was one of those meeting. Waking up this morning I was extra tire. I really struggled to get out of bed.
When I did, I was greeted by the Turkey gang. They roll in a pack and they were huge. The turkey gang was too close to my car and I didn’t know what to do. There was one of me, ten of them. I can’t run right now. I don’t know if I could out run them. If I could get to my car I would so run them over.
I’m sure there is some law about running over turkeys. That would be the “ issue”, I might end up in jail for. Not fighting against racial or economic injustice but running over a turkey.
Luckily, a car came up the street and got them confused. I took advantage of the opportunity and speed walk to my car. After all of this time wasted, I was able to get a 1.35 mile walk in before meetings and class.
