Greeting the Sun and Chasing the Moon
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
It’s Monday. The last Monday of March. April starts on Thursday. I feel that this month just got started and now it’s ending. To be honest, I don’t want to get out of bed. It rained on and off yesterday and I just wanted to rest. I still want to continue resting this morning. I need to get up. My motivation to run was grocery shopping. My plan is to get up, run and then go to the store. That way I shop early when there are not alot of people in the store.
I drove to Market Basket in Chelsea and parked my car. When I finished running I could just run into the store. This morning it is super windy but I will endure wind resistance as I run to Mary O’Malley Park.
Running I was stuck by the moon. She was still out and bright. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and all I could see was the fullness of the moon. There was no one in the park as I ran through it. It was me and the moon. As the clouds started to hide her, I saw the sunrise.
From the grocery store and running through the park, it was a 2.08 miler that I ran in 22:09 mins. Still happy that I am able to run until surgery #3. Tentative date is April 16th. I have 17 more days to run.
Glad to start off the Monday being moonstruck.
