Sunday a.m. Pimp Running
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Yesterday was sunny 54 degrees and Spring was screaming hello. Today it’s 43 degrees( Feels like 32 degrees), cloudy, cold, and I can feel and smell the rain that is about to come. Today I can see my breathe in the air. Such a complete weather shift. As they say up here in Boston, if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.
Despite the weather feeling like fall, it was still a good day to run. Unlike yesterday I was layered up with a hat and extra clothing. Today is the third day of running and it feels great. Unfortunately I still have to be careful because my right boob hurts., even with the super tight sports bra on. I’ve notice there is friction between my incision and the bra yesterday. Today I put a band-aid on it, as a buffer between my boob and the bra. It seems to work. This might be my new normal for a while.
This morning I started off my run slowly 11 mins for the first mile by the time I got to mile three, I was doing 10:03 min/mile. The progression went from 11:37, 10:27; 10:01 min/mil. for an average of 10:39 min/mil pace for 3.41 miles. I can’t be update with that. It’s going to take some time to retrain again and I know I can do it.
I did see some folks playing football in the park and folks with their dogs at the dog park. Otherwise it was a quiet, fall like spring morning.
