Moonlit Track Tuesday
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Yesterday it was 52 degrees for an a.m. run. I mistakenly thought it would be the same this morning. Oh, I was wrong. It was a chilly 34 degrees out. Yesterday I was over dressed when I ran. Today I was under dressed for my run. No hat, gloves, jacket, or extra layers. Big miss step this morning. I thought, “ just run a mile. You’ll get hot and you can stop.” That mile turned into a 5k with a mixture of running, walking, and stadium steps.
I had the track all to myself. This morning, if I was properly dressed I could have run more than a 5k. I felt good and strong. My stride was steady. The music that was playing out of Pandora was on point. I was in a good mood and a good place. I did get a little warmer but I still needed more layers. I needed to go to the store before everyone and their momma went to the grocery store.
The moon stayed out longer than I thought she would. Clear blue sky, full moon up high, and just me running around the track.
