Trackworkout Tuesday
COVID-19 “ The Rona Era”
The last day of June ends with an a.m. Trackworkout Tuesday. This is going to be my Tuesday theme, which is good. I need to run on a track because the evenness is good for my knees and also I get to see people working out, and it is a safe space. Safe meaning, I don’t have to worry about cars, crossing the streets, all the “ running on the pavement” hazards that I normally encounter.
It is still super muggy out at 6:30 a.m. but at least it was cool.
Today I ran from my house to the Stadium which was about a mile. Then I did 10 squats before running around the track twice, doing 10 more squats and then running around the track two more times.
For a bonus I went up the stadium steps once before running back home.
Most of the people I saw running on the track were the people I saw last Tuesday. I like seeing “familiar faces.”, for me it’s a sense of normalcy.
In my neighborhood and on my track it is also racially and age diverse and I like that.
2.80 miles for an end to June.
