Track Tuesday
I really need to start doing strengh training. I keep saying it but I haven’t done it yet. Today I’m going to pay $100 for the Cal-Zone and get back to getting strong. I keep thinking about running in Utah and Alaska when it’s hot..July and August and I’m going to need all my energy. I hate running in hot runner and I have to be strong and smart.
In the meantime, today was track workout with the heartbreakers. Today truly felt like a spring morning. It was a pleasant, sunny, clear blue sky of 61 degrees out. Everyone had on their sunglasses or hats. I just hate that our camera man wasn’t around today because he could have had some amazing shots.
The things a noticed today because the camera not being here was the massive amount of folks that came out to run at 6:35a.m. Not just the people but all the bikes. I thought about social class because having a bike and all the bike things are not cheap. And I always wonder what kind of jobs to people have to be out here this early. I should probably start asking.
Today was 400s. We went around the track 8-12 times at a 5k, 10k, and mile pace. I laughed as our pacer was trying to get us through the runs and she was talking about kayaking along a river. And I thought. I don’t kayaking or know anything about that lifestyle. Clearly many people in team Blue did. She asked about favorite beers too. I was thinking the questions I would ask to help people relate would be so different. Runners are all so different, which is a good thing.
