Beast Mode Thursday

Today is a Treadmill workout. Hills and Speed. This morning I scared myself and let fear get in the way. We worked on speed and normally I ran at a level of 6.0, which I am comfortable. Today I pushed myself to 6.5 and it took a lot but I was actually fine there as we changed the incline. The scary part happened when I went to 7.0 and then a 7.1 speed. I could do it and maintain it for 30 and 60 seconds. Whoa. This was alot and I got scared and went back down to a 6.0 then up to a 6.5.

As I listen to coach Chris, I thought, this is why I am here. This is what it is all about. Pushing myself to be uncomfortable. I took a couple of breathes and finished at a 7.1 speed. Yes I can do it, and Yes I am getting stronger. This is why we train.
