Oh those Track people
Track Tuesday!
This morning I’m out to Cincinnati to see my dad for his 75th birthday. I can get some track work in but I can’t be there the whole time because I have a plane to catch. Because I need to get miles in, I ran a 5k around Roxbury before track workout start. It’s cold out. I believe it’s 19 degrees. We are expecting a snow storm later tonight. You can feel the cold in the air. I felt it.
After the 5k, I went into the Reggie Lewis Center at 6am and I was one of the early ones there. Team heartbreak were all ready there going over the plan for the runners for the a.m. Today, I felt it was time to step up my game. I left my beloved team Red and went to Team Blue.
While getting ready, I chatted with a couple of team red members and some women who I don’t know just started talking to me. My thoughts…Ok. She loves the run. I am a different breed.
We got started and I kept watching my phone to make sure I can left in enough time to catch my flight. Around 7:30( we start at 6:34) I left. The owner, Dan, asked me if I was ok, since I left the track and I was putting on my pants. I reassured him that I was great but I had to catch a plane.
Fuel for Thought: There was a man in my team blue that I had never seen before. He was all up on me while we did our track work. At one point, I hit him by mistake because he was so close to me and I didn’t have room to run. Then he did it again . Grrr…..
Running and track work done
