Moonlit pavement
The knee is feeling better. After resting/ not running for four days I thought I would test the pavement. Over the weekend I got new running shoes, iced my knee, and did my best to stay off my feet. Today was the test run. I ran with my knee brace for 3 miles. It felt fine. For some reason I feel heavier, that may be true. I ran slowly just to be safe. Then I picked it up a bit.
It felt so good to run. To run outside in the morning. I finished 5k in 29 minutes. I just have to make it to state #27 and after that, it will be doing other things to get stronger and heal.
I did run into 3 runners out this morning. I saw people ( couples) out walking their dog at 5:45a.m. That was different. I still have my space and pavement to myself. The extra bonus of the morning was being followed by the moon. Hopefully this will bring me good luck for the upcoming weeks.
