8 mile Sunday
Today is the big day for Pulling for Hope. Pulling for Hope is a fundraising event sponsored through the American Cancer Society. I'm proud that I raised $725 to support cancer research. Who hasn't been impacted by that damn disease. Before the Pull, I wanted to get my arms and legs strong, so I ran 8 miles. I planned on running 10 put I was stopped by two bridges. The first one was closed off to traffic and the second one I had to wait because the bridge was up.
All this before 7am. I guess this is what also happens when you run early sometimes. While running I could feel it was going to be a hot day. It was going to feel like summer. Hurricane Jose left his rainy, cool mark. This morning, I could feel the heat coming. Blue sky, little breeze and sun.
I didn't get in 10 miles but I got in 8. Sometimes you have to pause while running. So you just recalculate, dance, smile, and keep it moving
