Staying on Track
Friday's am was suppose to be 7 miles it was 6.2 miles of urban surprises instead. Summer is still here apparently. This morning at 5am it was muggy out and it hasn't been that way in a while. All before 5:30 a taxi cab driver honked at me while running. There were not any other cars around him and I was the only person running across the bridge when he honked. I didn't bother to look at him but it was just annoying. While crossing the bridge I saw two men fishing on the bridge. Did I mention this was before 5:30. As I ran by I could feel there eyes staring at me. As if I was the one that was out of place.
I continued to run in Chelsea, the next town over and I ran into the train tracks. In this urban space I forgot they were there. So many times I get off track, side tracked, derailed, and on track. Currently I'm feeling off track, it was good to be reminded to get back on it.
I appreciate being blessed and able to run in the am, especially when I see a pile of junked up cars on my runningroute.
....nonstop urban surprises. Happy Friday
