First September Track Tuesday
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
After almost 9 miles for the Birthday Diva run on Monday, my legs were tired. But it’s Track Tuesday. The Tuesday after Labor Day Monday. I had to go and step up since many of our pacers were not here. I thought there would be two of us on team red. Unfortunately Jordan went to team blue because they needed a pacer. I was all alone. Luckily it wasn’t bad today, from a pacer point of view. 2 - 10 minutes , temp pace run with a 2 minute break in between. Then 4x 400s with a minute break in between. I’m still working on the pacing and timing the laps. Jordan showed me the pace calculator she uses with helps her. I’m learning.
I think I had a good pace. I was mindful of watching my watch and trying to not go to fast. I think it was good. Baptism by fire is how I’m learning about pacing and being a pacer. It was humid and hot. I made it. Hopefully next Tuesday all three pacers will be together and I will finally learn how to keep a true pace.
