First Day of Class: Run by the water, Run by the light

First Day of Class: Run by the water, Run by the light

First run of the first day of class. This is when I have to get up extra extra early to get the am run in. The first two weeks of school I won't be home until after 7 and by then I'm mentally and emotionally done.  This is when it is still dark out as well. I had to be safe and put on my new balance reflective v est and my reflective arm band.

The rain from yesterday still left a coolness in the morning. As I was running, people were going to work and walking to the T station. I did notice several people being dropped off. It's a bit jawing to me when I'm running and a car is slowing down and stops next to me. And someone gets out of it. It was not as if the person was dropping them off at a T or bus stop. It was a random stop. This happened 3 time this morning. All before 6am.

Besidesthe random stops I saw 'that guy". I saw a guy running with his dog, all smiles and no reflective gear. That is a privilege that I wish I could have but I don't. It was a dark part of the street I was running on. I have make sure when I run, I' running in lighted and "busy" areas. Gone are the freedoms I had when it was light in the am and I would run off the beaten path. That is over for now.

Light and water are my themes. I ran around the Haborwalk and I saw several men fishing. I run, they fish, ok! :). I had a better appreciation of them compared to the random car stops and drop offs.

Run was mandatory to get in before teaching the kids today. Let Wednesday get started.
