First Fall Run of 2020
Coivd-19, ‘The Rona Era”
Fall is officially here! 47 degrees out and dark at 5:30 a.m. for Tuesday’s Trackworkout. No more shorts. It’s time for a lot of reflective gear, running tights, hats, and gloves. Today was just reflective gear and tights.
I think this fall and winter season will create new challenges for running while black with a mask because I have to be layered up and light up with reflective gear. I may now just be a shadow running in the dark.- That’s my fuel for thought.
Today, I was running to the track. The streets and the track lights were glowing this morning. When I got to the track, my usual track Tuesday crew were not there. There were just two people running on the track. I might see some new “regular” fall track people.
After a half an hour, young men started to come on the track. I realized that Boston schools just started so they may be apart of high school sports team. As they sat on the field, I kept running around the track.
As it started to get lighter, I saw more people coming to run or walk up the stadium steps.
4.24 miles later, I finished my first a.m. run of Fall
