Track Tuesday Before Selma
Era of Facism, Racism, and Getting the last Track Tuesday in before heading off to Selma on Thursday. This is the first Track workout without my co-pilot for team Read, Mary Beth. Luckily, this workout isn’t too bad. 5 min at tempo pace, 1 min rest, 200 at 5k pace, 2 min rest, and repeat for 3-4 sets. It’s odd that I can say, “ This isn’t a bad workout”. Especially the last couple of weeks prior we did a lot of running. A “ mini Michigan”. Damn all those Track folks and all this running.
Also, our high volume crowd was a bit low. I think 80 folks today. March is spring break month for the college kids. I suspect the last couple of track Tuesday workout before Boston, we’ll get our high volume of over 100 folks back.
I felt strong and good this morning as I led team Red. To be honest the workout went by fast. My wobbly knee felt strong.
Can’t wait to see what we will do next week.
