March Track Tuesday Madness
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
This Tuesday Tuesday did not start off like it normally does. First of all, I left my watch at home. Not good when your a pacer. Then, we were locked out of the Reggie. There was some miscommunication, because the folks at the Reggie did not think we were coming today. Not correct. I did not bother to put on pants. It would be a quick walk into the Reggie. I was so wrong.
The positive side, was hanging and socializing with everyone as we waited. My girl Nat from BGR showed up, which was great. We were outside until 6:40a.m. We came up with a plan to put everyone’s stuff in a car and run outside on the track behind the Reggie. Just when we had a plan in place, the doors open.
The amount of smiles and happiness everyone had was great. We had to change what we normally would do with stretches and strides because we had to make up time.
Luckily, the workout, I didn’t need my watch and I had the other pacer, MB keep time. 10min temp run. 2 min rest, 4x200 with 1 min rest in between. Then another 10 min tempo. 1 min rest. 4 strides to finish things off.
The Reggie was set up for the indoor track tournaments that are happening this weekend. Because of that , we didn’t have music.
All in all, it was still fun! We laughed, had a lot of sweat and great vibes to share with everyone. We even finished early with the morning plot twist.
Job got done!
