Second Friday of the November

Second Friday of the November

COVID-19, “The Rona Era”

It’s now day 3 of post election reality. Still feeling all the emotions but it’s a bit better. Running, moving, being outside in the early morning is helpful. I was tired but I knew I needed to get up and get moving. Plus, my knee is K-taped from PT. I need to get my knee a test run with this tape on it.

I waited until 6a.m. when the sunlight was slowly starting to brighten the sky. At first it felt weird to run with this tape. I was in tune with myself. I realize that I was nervous. I could feel my heart beating fast. It’s the unknown about this knee. I had to calm myself down and not get too worried.

I wanted to try the interval running again. Of course my app was not working. I need to make some adjustments there.

I ran towards the track. My knee felt a bit tight. I should have stretched more. After running two miles I got into my rhythm. This was a perfect morning running day. It was cool and the colors of the sky made me happy.

I still hate that fact that I do not have full range of motion with my right knee. What I can do. The Marathon is next Saturday. So here we are.

3.08 miles, 12:00 mile ave pace; 36:59.
