Friday 10k a.m. beach run
COVID-19 “ The Rona Era”
I made it to Friday. At one point this week I thought Thursday was Friday. Oops, it happens sometimes in the Rona. Because I rested on Thursday, I wanted to run more miles today because missed running 10k a..m humpday Wednesday (4 miles),
This the the perfect morning. It was 69 degrees, my tunes in my ear buds were spot on today( via Pandora), there was a nice ocean breeze and my knee and stride felt good. At 5:45 a.m the beach was busy. I was two different workout out classes. One was a yoga class, and the ladies were not six feet apart or wearing mask. The other was some strength training class, doing planks on the beach.
With the construction of new buildings the construction workers, in their bright orange and green shirts were gathering along the beach sidewalk before they started work.
Lesson of the beach morning: Many people didn’t bother to wear their mask or at least have them around their neck. And we wonder why COVID-19 rates are going up.
Ducking and weaving around the lack of mask people, it was a beautiful day to run along the beach. I told myself, after mile 5 I would run the final mile on the beach and I did. It was me and the stalker geese..
