Friday with the moon and sun
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
This is the last Friday before Thanksgiving. I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next Thursday. So not ready. Also Thursday is BGR-Boston’s annual 5k Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day. I need to get my running outfit ready, that’s the most important thing. I ordered a shirt for our theme of “ positive affirming statements.” I just hope it comes in time. In not, I’ll improvise with something.
Today, is Friday and it’s 49 degrees out. Not as warm as yesterday, which was in the 60s. Still a good day for a morning run. I ran on Deer Island because it has been a long time since I ran around the island and the treatment plant pods.
When I arrived, I saw the fullness of the moon as she was leaving the sky. The picture I took does not do the moon justice. The beauty, colors, and magnitude of it over the city, really does not translate into pictures.
It was breezy and the weather was temperate. I had on think tights, a hat, gloves, and a couple of cold weather shirts on. Surprising , that was all I needed for a comfortable run. I didn’t need the extra jackets I had put in my car.
Around the island I saw a couple of people walking their dog, an older gentlemen walking, and a guy riding his bike. He looped me three times while I was running.
This morning was a good, strong, steady run. I had energy and my pelvic floor did not cause me any pain while running.
It was a nice peaceful run to take in the views and the quiet morning. After my loop around the island, I kept running towards the Marina. That’s when I saw a couple more people running. By this time, the moon was gone and the sun was starting to come up. The weather was still great.
