COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Another beautiful fall morning. I think I’m trying to do the most with this knee before leaving for Georgia. I was going to go to acupuncture, Physical Therapy, and get a sports massage. No time and no money. PT will have to do.
I know I needed to run a bit with the knee compression sleeve. I’m still trying to figure out, what is the best means for me to run. Plus, I’m still trying the interval running plan.
I was out the door by 6a.m. My last run was on Saturday. It has been 48 hours of resting the knee. She did ok. The 4:1 method seems to work. There were times I was distracted because I have to take my pictures. I was able to keep going.
I did see a group of runners. There were 5 of them, 4 women and one guy. I saw them when I was running by the stadium. Again, as I was running from the greenway connector.
It was a good morning to run. I wish I had taken two aleve before I started. I’ll make sure to bring my pills before running.
I was a bit slower than normal with this knee. 3.12 miles ; 39:35 at 12:40mile/ave pace.
My running math: If I can run 5 miles in an hour…. In 4 hours that is 20 miles. There might be hope. I need to work on the strategy.
