COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Still trying to make up miles since I was stuck in Charlotte and JFK airports for 27 hours and missed my long run Saturday. Of course today it is super windy. My almost 7 miles was Windy AF. I wanted to mix up the scenery and ran along Castle Island. The last several months of training, I’ve been running on the boston marathon route. I hadn’t done my regular running exploring. Today, I thought I would start it back up.
I parked by the convention Center and ran to Castle Island and M. Street Beach. This is a runner’s spot. Lots of runners were running around the island and along the beach. I did have a “ run-in” situation this morning.
Parts of the sidewalk are blocked because of construction. I was running towards Castle Island on the street. Then a female runner, who was running towards me, and saw me, decided that I was going to be the one to move out of her way. No lady, not today. I stayed running on my side and we bumped elbows hard. No time for the non sense.
I really felt like I was in wind resistance training.
I did good. 6.73 miles, 10:46pace, 1:12:23.
