Almost a 10k a.m. humpday run
COVID-19, “ The Rona Era”
Once again Fall is knocking on Summer’s door. He’s ready to come on in. But summer is still holding him back. Of course I wanted to take advantage of the cool, 63 degrees, and breezy weather. Since I don’t have to teach, I drove to the Seaport to run around Castle Island.
I parked next to Lawn on D by 5:55a.m. I thought I needed to put on a top layer because of the chilly wind. I knew that I would get hot soon so I’ll be fine. I couldn’t remember the last time I ran down here, so it was good to be down here again.
With fall, knocking on the door, I saw the sunrise and the moon still hanging out longer than normal in the sky.
The sky colors were amazing. As I was running I thought I had a good stride and I felt good.
Around Castle Island, all the runners were out. I did see one black man running, who did acknowledge me- yeah! Mostly women running around.
I always get a kick out of the walkers with their dunks, as they say.
I was all gun ho to run a 10k today and after my circle around Castle Island and back to the Seaport it was 5.49 miles! Really?! I didn’t have the energy to keep running up and down the street to reach a 10k.
There is always next week…:)
