27 degrees and 4 miles
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Today is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. It’s 27 degrees outside. Monday I was good. I went to strength training class. Sunday night I dancing away at the Gardens with LL Cool J and the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop concert. I’m keeping the week moving and grooving theme by running 4 miles this morning.
The struggle is always real. I know 27 degrees is below freezing. It has been a while since I’ve run in 27 degree weather. I might have over layered up. Ugh, trail and error. At least it was sunny and there was not a breeze. My plan was to run a 5k. This week’s agenda: Wednesday: Strength training, Thursday: 5k Turkey Trot; Friday Strength training and Saturday: Maybe a hike.
I started off slow because my compression tights were tight. I started to get hot with all those layers.
I kept the run local. I ran to Brenman street park, around the stadium, and the greenway. The fall foliage and colors are still popping a bit. Also, many of the trees have lost their leaves. Winter is coming.
It wasn’t a bad run at all. After two miles I got my pace rhythm going.
4.02 miles; 41:35; 10:21 pace.
