Monday 4 miler around the pond
COVID-19, “The Rona Era”
Last Monday run of January. The struggle was real this morning. I over-ed weekend and I’m tired. The Iowa’s friend came into town from the ATL. So we went to the Celtics game, which was intense and amazing by the way, we did an escape room, had dinner, drinks, oh and I ran 14 miles on Saturday. Lots of people interacting. So hence this morning I was not in the mood. My body still needs to rest. I had to put miles on my shoes. I ran 4 miles around Horn Pond. I didn’t even look to see how many miles I should do today. It might be 5 or 6.
When I got up, I didn’t start running until 6:15ish. It was still dark a bit. I did see two groups of runners, running together. We all passed each other a couple of times while running the pond loop.
Still working on the baseline build. 44 mins to run 4 miles. I need to improve on that. 11:03/minute mile. The goal is to get to 4 miles in 40 mins. After mile 3, I started to feel a groove.
Monday miles can be checked off.
